I tried to install ShapeWriter from the Android Marketplace yesterday and couldn't find it (I was trying to reinstall it after flashing my phone with Cyanogenmod 5.0.8). After searching the interwebs, I found out that it had been removed from the marketplace on June 20th indefinitely (supposedly for QA issues). Luckily I had backed up the app using MyBackup Pro and still had the APK, so I was able to reinstall it. I'm putting the APK up here for anyone who needs to reinstall ShapeWriter.

Trying to download it but it won’t install on my phone.. I downloaded it from the web browser on my phone.. was that not how I was supposed to do it?

THANK YOU!!!!! YOU ARE TRULY A LIFESAVER!!! Had to Factory Data Reset and for some reason (prob because app was taken off market) my back up program would NOT back it up!! I have no physical keyboard and the stock android keyboard is just plain attrocious-I absolutely could not have lived without this app…. you have done the world a valuable service!

Help! Got the file downloaded and installed, selected shapewriter in keyboard settings, but I don’t notice any difference when typing a txt. Am I doing something wrong? BTW i have a Droid incredible

i had to uninstall shapewriter a few weeks ago and nothing currently out there compares to it. so im trying to install this apk using appinstaller on my htc hero with android 1.5 and i keep getting the following error: application not installed. shapewriter keyboard could not be installed on this phone.
can anybody please provide some suggestions?

That sounds strange… I had that problem with Angry Birds — wasn’t able to solve that. Not sure if it’s the same issue you’re facing.
