I got a few comments on the AI post I made with female dancers, that the bodies were kind of exaggerated. I did notice that too when I had them generated, because the heads were sometimes too big. The waists were also impossibly thin. I know that this is likely because the image space is close to sculptural representations of female dancers in India, which often do have exaggerated proportions — statues of apsaras tend to look this way. The skin color was also rather fair across all the images.
I decided to regenerate those set of images by controlling for those particular features. The changes I made to the prompt involved the following: I specified that it was a painting of a Kerala woman and not a Kerala dancer. I also added negative prompts to control for exaggerated body features. I think the results came out way better because the bodies look much more natural.
It is not 100% perfect due to the essentially random nature of the process. In some pictures (not posted) I did get very narrow waists. But for the most part, the bodies have much more natural proportions.
