Goodbye, my sweet girl. When you left, I felt like I lost a piece of my soul. I remembered the first time I saw you at the pound, standing on your hind legs, tail wagging furiously. I remembered the times we would sit on my futon watching TV together, and how you'd look at me groggily and slightly annoyed, when I woke you up to carry you to your dog bed. You were there to say goodbye to me when I left on my deployment and there when I came back. And though you ended up with my sister, you belonged to both of us.
You were always there and for so long, that I wasn't prepared to even imagine a world without you.
You were a good dog, sweet Honey, and a lady. I love you and miss you so much.
