America is nice to me. I love America. The IRS gave me $136 back. I wasn’t expecting it. I apparently paid too much in taxes. America is nice. Only 4 more days before training. There goes my summer. Now I don’t like America that much. America took away my summer. Three months. THREE DAMN MONTHS! WHY? WHY? WHY?
I just installed GD so I’m on my way to creating a dynamic photo album. Marc has given me no promises about recompiling PHP with GD so I found an interpreter (fly) that should work with PHP. Nothing else… June 3rd is only two weeks away… I really don’t want to leave…

I’m writing this from a totally kick-ass system we just installed in the labs! It’s an IBM NetVista computer with wireless keyboard and mouse… the whole setup just looks really SWEET! This is SO AWESOME!!!

Yeah, I guess there are no “visible” changes, but I got the pretty version of the “Insert Journal Entry” page done. I even made a new and improved select box because IE wouldn’t let me change the button properties on the default one… =D… Yeah I know it’s pretty nerdy… Anyways, I’m not sure what I’m going to do next… I think I’ll finish up the links page…
Work is boring. There is nothing to do. Everything sucks. I have so many things to take care of. I am leaving for training on the 3rd. My roommate Michael might be moving out, so I have to look for a new place. On top of that, my AIT training is 12 weeks… yes 12 WHOLE WEEKS! I’m in MAINTENANCE … GOOD LORD! 12 weeks to learn how to fill out forms? It better be more than that… When I’m done I’d better know how to build a nuclear weapon from sand and grass. Oh yeah, the worst part isn’t done yet. I’ll probably be back after school has started… OH GREAT! Isn’t that LOVELY? I’m taking CSE421 too! I love this! I completely LOVE THIS! Jeez… I hope everything works out… Life sucks. I hate it… Pool party on Wednesday… yaayy! Life still sucks…
IE6 just had to make it HARDER with their P3P compatibility. On top of that, my stupid domain name providers have some bizarre convention where they put the actual page (where http://www.vivin.net or http://www.vivin.com refers to) inside a STUPID FRAME. So when I run the P3P validator, it finds p3p.xml alright, but it’s inside a STUPID FRAME so it comes across as HTML to it… WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE WANT TO SET IT UP LIKE THAT? I sent them an email… the bastards never write back… I hate them… I hate them so much… and I have another year with them… I’m going to go with register.com next year… Yeah so why did I do P3P? Because IE6 won’t take cookies otherwise… But then I FINALLY got it all to work… I was making the pop-up window open with reference to http://www.vivin.net so it was putting it inside that STUPID FRAME… I changed it and now it WORKS!!! WOOHOOO!!! P3P is still interesting though… Yeah so this site has P3P and you can read the policy here. The XML is here. I generated it using IBM’s P3P Policy Editor. It’s free and easy to use. I don’t understand half the legal stuff that’s in the Policy file… I just made it so that my cookies would work…
Good lord… yesterday was interesting. We “celebrated” the end of the semester in a really big way. In a really big way. In fact it was so big that if it was any bigger, it would have collapsed under its own mass into a black hole and everyone would have died. We went to some party and I did the salsa with some girl. I never knew Physics majors did the Salsa… but then again… I am a CSE major… Baccardi 151 tastes like crap. How can people make money off something that tastes like crap? Good old capitalism. Then someone fell into the pool, but I didn’t get to see it because I was busy dancing. I got back home at maybe 4am. Crashed and slept till 11am… Not too long… went to Gouri’s honours graduation at 1pm… Sadhana, Rachna, Gouri and Shareen are celebrating “Fat Day”… ask them what it is… it has to do with eating a lot I think. I am hungry. I’ve only had chocolate milk.
