Download ShapeWriter APK
I tried to install ShapeWriter from the Android Marketplace yesterday and couldn’t find it (I was trying to reinstall it after flashing my phone with Cyanogenmod 5.0.8). After searching the interwebs, I found out that it had been removed from the marketplace on June 20th indefinitely (supposedly for QA issues). Luckily I had backed up the app using MyBackup Pro and still had the APK, so I was able to reinstall it. I’m putting the APK up here for anyone who needs to reinstall ShapeWriter.

I love you so much! The Froyo OTA update bricked my phone, and shapewriter was my only real casualty. You’ve made me very happy.
Trying to download it but it won’t install on my phone.. I downloaded it from the web browser on my phone.. was that not how I was supposed to do it?
Never mine tried again today to download it from my phone and it worked like a gem!! I know that i don’t know you but I love you!!! <3

THANK YOU!!!!! YOU ARE TRULY A LIFESAVER!!! Had to Factory Data Reset and for some reason (prob because app was taken off market) my back up program would NOT back it up!! I have no physical keyboard and the stock android keyboard is just plain attrocious-I absolutely could not have lived without this app…. you have done the world a valuable service!

Thank you so much. After my phone had to be replaced with a refurbished one, I no longer had ShapeWriter. It is so much better than any other keyboard I tried. I really appreciate this.
Help! Got the file downloaded and installed, selected shapewriter in keyboard settings, but I don’t notice any difference when typing a txt. Am I doing something wrong? BTW i have a Droid incredible

i had to uninstall shapewriter a few weeks ago and nothing currently out there compares to it. so im trying to install this apk using appinstaller on my htc hero with android 1.5 and i keep getting the following error: application not installed. shapewriter keyboard could not be installed on this phone.
can anybody please provide some suggestions?

That sounds strange… I had that problem with Angry Birds — wasn’t able to solve that. Not sure if it’s the same issue you’re facing.
