I've use linux/unix for years and in even recent times I've gave the whole "hackintosh" thing a go. I feel the same exact way that you do and this is the first thing I've read that really sums it all up. I think this very article might just be the push I needed to allow myself to pay a little extra for an apple computer thats both eye candy and capable at the same time.
